Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, Nigeria was established and licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to operate as a Conventional Private University in January, 2005. The University provides qualitative education with strong moral conduct without discrimination on the basis of nationality, age, gender, political or religious belief. It has secured accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for all its due academic programmes.
The University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who scored 140 and above for admission into its academic programmes through the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (U.T.M.E), Direct Entry and Inter-University Transfer. All Full-time undergraduate programmes run for 4 academic sessions except Law, Medical Laboratory Science and Public Health which runs for 5 academic sessions, Sandwich Degree Programmes run for 5 contact sessions and Part-Time undergraduate programmes (for 6 Academic sessions). ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
1. UNDERGRADUATE AND JUPEB PROGRAMMES
Applicants must possess a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SAISSCE Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings in the subjects relevant to their proposed undergraduate and JUPEB (Joint University Preliminary Examination Board) Programmes. English Language at credit level is compulsory for all candidates. In addition, a credit pass in Mathematics is compulsory for candidates seeking admission into Degree Programmes in the Faculties of Health Sciences, Management Sciences, Natural and Applied Sciences, and in some Education Courses.
2. SUB-DEGREE (DIPLOMA) PROGRAMMES
Applicants are required to have a minimum of four (4) Credit passes at not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SAISSCE. Thanawiyyah/Tawjihiyyah Certificate of any Arabic Senior Secondary School duly registered with the relevant State Authorities, Equivalent qualifications to any of the above-mentioned will be considered. Applicants For the Sub-degree Law Diploma Programmes must possess live (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SAISSCE Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings, including English Language, Literature-in-English and any other three (3) Art/Social science subjects, and at least a pass in Mathematics. Applicants for Combined Law (Common and Islamic Law) must, in addition, have a credit pass in Islamic Studies or Arabic.
3. SANDWICH DEGREE PROGRAMMES
Applicants are required to have a minimum of five (5) credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB/SAISSCE Examinations or their equivalents at not more than two (2) sittings for Contact One ( I ), while applicants with ND/NCE/ HNDD certificates are eligible for admission into Contact Two (2).
4. POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
(i) Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): Applicants must possess a first degree from Al-Hikmah University Ilorin, or any other recognised University. Holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) are also eligible.
(ii) Master's Degree: Applicants for the academic Master's Degree programmes who are graduates of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin, or any other recognised university, must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours Degree (Lower Division) and must score a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination to be eligible for admission.
(iii) M.Phil.: Applicants for the M.Phil Programme must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours Degree (Lower Division) or 3rd Class Honours Degree with additional postgraduate degree or 5 years work experience in relevant disciplines.
(iv) Ph.D.: Applicants must possess a Master's degree with a CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 5.0 point scale, 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale or M.Phil. degree and must demonstrate adequate intellectual capacity, maturity and effective decision-making and problem-solving potentials.

(ii) Effect payment of a non-refundable fee of N2,000:00 for undergraduates, N 10,000:00 for postgraduate diploma and N20,000:00 for Masters and Ph.D. degree progranmes online.
(iii) Print the duly completed form, Two copies of undergraduate referee Form and online Payment Receipt.
(iv) Present the online Payment Receipt to the University Bursary Department and obtain the official payment receipt.
(v) Present the duly completed form with relevant credentials (O'Level Result with E-pin/Token, JAMB UTME result slip, medical report, birth certificate, citizenship and official payment receipt at the Admissions Office for immediate screening.
