KPMG Professional Services says it has donated about N2m to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos to cater to patients’ surgeries and other medical expenses as part of its health initiatives.
In addition, the firm said it presented gifts and hosted a party for the patients at the children’s ward.
Partner and Chief Operating Officer, KPMG in Nigeria, Victor Onyenkpa, said in the statement, “KPMG remains committed to ensuring a healthy population which is essential for the nation’s economic growth, hence, nearly a decade ago, we developed and maintained strategic partnership with NOHI and have continually replicated same with some other local healthcare providers.
“We are inspired by the lives impacted so far and thankful for the opportunity to continue to make a difference; we are driven to do more.”
The Head, People, Performance and Culture, KPMG, Gloria Ibeziako, also said, “The KPMG Nigeria Health Initiative is absolutely amazing and being able to strengthen the hope of these patients proves that the initiative is fulfilling its intended purpose, and truly, KPMG through its citizenship, is impacting lives and improving communities.
