The Management Board of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, (BSUTH) Makurdi hereby invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of Director of Administration.

We intend to provide the best possible environment for teaching and research so that the dreams of both our students and staff are realized, and in the process adding value to the society. We have received accreditation from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria to be a suitable place for the training of medical students. We hope to have similar accreditations from other professional bodies in the near future so we can train both resident doctors and other professionals in the health sector.
We are a new hospital, but our facilities include those for Heamodialysis, Endoscopy, Imaging with various modalities including CT scanning, echocardiography and so on. Our hospital environment is beautiful to behold.
We have many consultants in various fields and they come from all parts of Nigeria and are helping to transform our vision into reality. We have enthusiastic support workforce that is working hard to actualize our dreams.
We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Director of Administration
Location: Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi
The successful candidate will be responsible to the Chief Medical Director for the day-to-day management of administrative functions of the Teaching Hospital.
He/she will be Secretary to the Management Board.
Qualification and Experience
The Candidate should possess a good Honours Degree from a recognized University in Health Services Management or any of the Social Sciences or Humanities.
The Candidate should preferably be a member of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria.
In addition, the candidate must have not less than Twelve (12) years cognate administrative experience part of which should be in a Teaching Hospital or any other tertiary health related agency of similar standing, part of which MUST be at least at the Chief Administrative Officer or equivalent level.
Anyone earning below CONHESS 12 (GL 14) need not apply.
Applicants must be versatile in the use of computers and ICT.
Condition of Service: These are as obtainable in the Federal Public Service of Nigeria.
Salary: CONHESS 15
